13th World Forum for Democracy 2025: The University of Siedlce Among Participants of the Global Meeting
From November 4–8, 2025, a delegation from University of Siedlce took part in the 13th World Forum for Democracy, which was held at the headquarters of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France. Our university was represented by: Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Dr. Radosław Korneć, Dr. Agata Opalska-Kasprzak from the Institute of Political Science and Administration, and four students: Ms. Paulina Stańczuk, Ms. Zuzanna Martyniak, Ms. Oliwia Rostek, and Mr. Tomasz Zaciura.
The Forum, organized annually by the Council of Europe, serves as an international platform for exchanging views on the challenges facing democratic states.
During their stay in Strasbourg, representatives of University of Siedlce were received by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland to the Council of Europe, Mr. Aleksander Pociej. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Iwona Marczyk-Stępniewska, Minister Plenipotentiary at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland.
During the Forum, the University delegation also had the opportunity to meet with a Council of Europe expert, Mr. Dragan Sljivic, who outlined the organization's current activities in support of democracy and human rights in Europe for the participants.
