“Manor Houses of the Mazovia and Podlasie Borderland” Trip for International Erasmus+ Students 🌍🏰

📅 On May 19, the Center Cooperation International of the University of Siedlce 🎓🌍 organized the “Manor Houses of the Mazovia and Podlasie Borderland” trip 🏰✨ for international Erasmus+ students and foreign guests visiting the university.

The trip was a perfect opportunity to discover the history 📖, architecture 🏛️, and traditions 🌿 of the region, as well as to strengthen integration and friendships 🤝 among participants from different countries 🌎.

The first stop of the journey was the oldest larch wood manor house in the region 🪵🏡 — the Cieszkowski Manor from 1743 in Nowa Sucha. Participants had the chance to admire traditional wooden manor architecture and learn about the fascinating history of the place.

Next, the group visited the neo-Gothic palace in Patrykozy 🏰, built in 1843 by General Teodor Szydłowski. It is considered one of the most extraordinary residences in the region, captivating visitors with its unique architecture ✨ and romantic interiors ❤️.

Another highlight of the trip was the Kuczyński and Ostrowski Palace in Korczew 🏛️ together with its beautiful park complex 🌳 and the summer palace “Syberia.” The historic palace and its interiors combine nearly 300 years of history, transformations, and architectural changes 🕰️.

During the trip, participants had the opportunity to better understand the culture and heritage of the Mazovia–Podlasie borderland 🌾. They also tasted a traditional regional dish 🍽️ — zaguby 🥟, which attracted great interest among international students and became a unique introduction to Polish culinary traditions.

The guide of the trip was the excellent tour guide Ms. Natalia Zyśk 👩‍🏫✨, who passionately shared the history of the visited places and many interesting stories and fun facts along the way 📚💬. Thanks to her knowledge and professionalism, participants were able to discover the unique character of the region even more deeply.

The trip was not only a valuable lesson in history and culture 🎭📖, but also a wonderful opportunity to build international relationships 🌍🤝 and explore together the beauty of eastern Mazovia and southern Podlasie 🌿☀️.
