II Forum Rektorów Polski i Turcji w Gdańsku 8 maja 2026 r.

150 representatives from 79 academic institutions participated in the 2nd Poland–Turkey Rectors’ Forum, held on May 8 at University of Gdańsk. University of Siedlce was represented by dr hab. Malina Kaszuba, university professor and Vice-Rector for Innovation and Cooperation, and dr Agnieszka Dybowska, Director of the Center for International Cooperation.

The event brought together members of the academic communities from Poland and Turkey to discuss opportunities for developing cooperation between universities in both countries. The Forum continued discussions initiated in September 2025 in Ankara.

Among the guests were Marcin Kulasek, Erol Özvar, Rauf Alp Denktaş, as well as rectors of Polish universities and representatives of academic organizations.

During the Forum, participants discussed issues related to the internationalization of higher education, the mobility of students and academic staff, the creation of joint study programs, and the development of international scientific and research partnerships. Participants also exchanged experiences regarding effective models of inter-university cooperation.

During the event, an agreement on cooperation in the field of higher education between Poland and Turkey was signed, and the Polish–Turkish Studies Center at the University of Gdańsk was officially inaugurated.
